What does a Concierge do?

A Concierge’s main purpose, is to maintain regular contact with residents, ensuring they are taken care of by providing a meticulous personalised service. The Concierge will maintain the front desk at all times, and ensure that a smooth running of the building’s activity is achieved.

Some of the common tasks a Concierge will perform are (but not limited to):

  • Sorting incoming mail
  • Booking restaurants for residents
  • Ensuring that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and tidy
  • Assisting in the parking of residents vehicles in the basement car park
  • Acting upon any ad-hoc requests for services residents may have

All these tasks are performed while maintaining a courteous and positive attitude. Being a Concierge means being the face of the building – so to say.

Some London buildings may also have the need of a Head Concierge. This role will be positioned by an experienced Concierge who will manage the day to day activity in the building. This could include everything from liaising with tenants and consultants to supervising and training of-site staff.
